We are seeking a Manager, Procurement who will lead the Procurement team to provide cost-efficient, timely and best-in-class infrastructural support and solutions that will enable the team to deliver excellent results to clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Purchasing and inventory control tasks and the procurement and logistics needs for incoming products.
- Frequent contact with vendors, including handling quantity and quality discrepancies.
- Prepares, submits purchase orders, and tracks their delivery status.
- Participates in planning and execution of future sales promotions.
- Forecast future purchasing requirements, particularly seasonal items. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand using data and upcoming promotions.
- Communicate with vendors and internal customers on order statuses and new product information.
- Application of inventory control measures.
- Management of purchasing assortments, coordinating and discussing ideas with management.
- Negotiation and definition of agreements with suppliers; Establish strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges.
- Promotional ordering of supplies and special items, coherently with the annual marketing calendar.
- Managing of selling price and margins of the purchased products;
- Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues.
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
- Negotiate pricing to close deals with optimal terms.
- Implement and analyze key purchasing data.
- Maintain focus on continuous improvement through researching and sourcing innovative, cost efficient business solutions.
- Stay up to date on market conditions in the beauty industry and be knowledgeable of current trends and products.
- Preparing procurement budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
- Stocking and distributing supplies, equipment or merchandise.
- Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
- Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
- Processes and documents returns as required following established procedures.
- Developing and implement procurement/stores standard operating procedures for efficient operations.
- Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
- Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable.
- Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
- Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.
REQUIREMENTS
- Required: 3- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Preferred: Strong background as a Procurement Specialist
- Bachelor degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Finance
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced sales environment
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of procurement processes and procedures with a strong bias for project management
- Strong data analysis and superior organizational skills
- Strong oral, written communication & presentation skills
